Construction companies are realizing it is not enough to focus only on building world class buildings. To address our industry’s persistent labor shortage challenges, companies are taking matters into their own hands; getting involved in their local schools; building quality craft training programs; hiring from programs like Construction Ready; identifying career pathways for their field level employees. The purpose of CEFGA’s Craft Pro Champions Award is to lift up individuals and companies who are making a difference in our industry’s fight to find and develop our Craft Professionals.

Advanced training program for Construction Ready graduates who have been employed full-time for a minimum of 90 days. Made possible by a grant from the Home Depot Foundation, the 16-week curriculum gives students the opportunity to earn six credentials – OSHA 30-Hour, Advanced Blue Print Reading, Advanced Construction Layout, Crew Leadership, Career Pathway and Advanced Financial Literacy – and provides instruction in Advanced Hand & Power Tool Operations.
