Building Careers. Changing Lives.

CEFGA puts people to work in the construction industry in Georgia. We were founded in 1993 by leading construction presidents and CEOs who recognized a need for quality construction skills training in our state. Skilled labor was then—and remains now—a primary need of the construction industry.

CEFGA knows this skilled labor shortage requires both short-term and long-term solutions. For construction companies who need reliable, productive workers, and for companies seeking to build a sustainable workforce, CEFGA provides entry-level employees today and a pipeline of future talent for tomorrow.

CEFGA has created these vital talent pipelines by cultivating a long-term workforce with youth through our K12 Pipeline and CareerExpo, while simultaneously addressing immediate labor shortages with adult Construction Ready participants who are screened, trained, drug-free and ready to work.

CEFGA proudly serves each of the following key groups with passion and enthusiasm:

  • Construction Ready Students: CEFGA’s Construction Ready program is an NCCER-accredited, four-week training and certification “boot camp,” offered free of charge at four Atlanta-area locations, that has placed more than 1,000 adults into full-time jobs.
  • K12 Pipeline Students: In partnership with the Georgia Department of Education, employers, trade associations and philanthropic organizations, the CEFGA K12 Pipeline elevates and expands skilled trade programs in Georgia public school systems.
  • Teachers: Our teachers and school construction programs are the front line in creating a highly skilled and educated pipeline of professionals to satisfy Georgia’s workforce demands. CEFGA and its partners provide our teachers with the resources they need to help students build a foundation for successful careers in the industry.
  • Employers and Partners: CEFGA partners with industry leaders to introduce the next generation to the skilled trades and help us create an environment that produces a steady pipeline of well-prepared skilled trade professionals into Georgia’s construction workforce.

CEFGA exists to create Success Stories. They are the “Why” that drives everything that we do as an organization.
